I thought I'd try and make at least one more posting before the end of the year. Please forgive my absence! As any parent would know, time is a precious thing. I can't believe my baby is 9 1/2 months old, the months have just flown by. I've been busy wrapped up in caring for and loving this little boy named Cragen. Just last night I had to stop and marvel at my precious gift from god... Everyday he amazes me, and I just love him to pieces!

Here's what you missed:

1. Cragen decided to protest against rolling over, he just recently joined the club at 8 months.

2. He has two bottom teeth

3. drools a tun!

4. he is the happiest little boy

5. is very very ticklish

6. Favorite song is itsy bitsy spider

7. plays peek a boo non stop

9. Not quite crawling yet, but very very close

10. Will not deny any type of food, Cragen has tried pickles and even lemons... and loves it all!

I couldn't have had a better mother's day! Cragen and I went up to the nursing home to visit Nana at work and eat breakfast with great grandma, we shared a few laughs and left with Cragen in tears... An over tired little boy needed some sleep after all that visiting! Cragen got home and took a well needed nap in his swing. With the weather being gorgeous we ended our day by taking a walk by munsinger gardens, as you can tell Cragen ended his day with a great big smile!

To my beautiful mother I love you more than I can ever express, I am who I am today because of you. You taught me to be kind hearted, hard working, and dedicated. I look up to you in so many ways and I can only hope that I will be as great as a mother to my childen as you were to me!

It's so nice to finally meet baby Addison. I've truely been blessed with such great friends and Megan just so happens to be one of them. This long road we call "pregnancy" I got to experience along with megan... It's comforting to have someone going through the same thing, experiencing these same changes, and asking/answering the same questions "Is that normal?" Now that this stage is behind us we now get to share the wonders of motherhood. I couldn't have asked for better timing Cragen is going to have so many friends and cousins his age, what fun!

The last week has just flowen by. Cragen is getting so big, it's sad how fast he is growing, however i'm excited to see his personality come out. Cragen got to meet his cousins Sarah and Amy, spent a little Quality time with them. This Monday Cragen gets to pose for his first professional pictures... so excited! Other than that he's just been busy playing on his play mat and falling asleep on his boppy pillow. Oh ya, he's begining to find his thumb, for now he puts his full fist in his mouth and sucks! lol silly boy!Lets hope he sticks to the nook for now, it's easier to throw away a nook than it is a thumb!

so we had a little laugh while Cragen was being baptized... When Pastor paul was pouring the water over Cragen's head each time he said in the name of the Father, son, and the holy spirit at each pause Cragen would fart. This will be a story Cragen will never live down :)

We are not even close to being finished, however I couldn't help but share how far we've come on Baby M's Nursery. I was so excited when our crib and rocker arrived, soon after Keith finished painting the walls, and I found these adorable butterflies to put around the closet doors. Since our bedding is being made we are still waiting on that. I would like to give Huge thanks to Bri for putting in all the hard work on painting the tree mural, I can't wait for it to be finished so I can share it all with you! Life gets busy... so we went out to eat at Benihana's Japanese Restaurant in Maple grove to celebrate Danielle's Aug. Birthday, My dad's Sept. Birthday, and finally my Mom and Keith's Oct birthday! This restaurant is unbelievable every meal is prepared by a knife-wielding table side chef. Flipping food, flying knives it sure is an experience.

Another rainy week, ugh! What is with this weather? I haven't really had the time to enjoy the falls colors between all the rain, school, and work.

After my doctors apt. today I went down by the river and took a few fall pictures from my car window, again due to the rain. I couldn't help but capture these beautiful yellow and red colors, I just love this time of year.

Just a little update: Keith finished soccer this week his team had a 14-0 record undefeated! 61 goals scored, 8 scored against, and 7 shut outs couldn't have asked for a better year! Keith is still in school chuggin right along, thank the lord his Microsoft class is over with not a recommended class to take online... Bowling league started last week for Keith as well, he looks so cute in his bowling jersey. Shh don't tell him I said that he'll get embarrassed :) I start student teaching Nov. 9Th for 5 weeks at the good ole' elementary school I attended Clearview Elementary, I'm really excited for this placement. Beginning in Jan I officially begin my independent student teaching for 14 wks, still waiting to find out where I will be placed. Then come May I GRADUATE! Baby M might come a little sooner than expected according to the ultra sound he/she will be due Feb 28Th. I already have plans for the nursery but can't get started on them until hunting is over I guess... Keith wants me to wait. What a bummer O well I'll start nesting in other ways :)

Keith and I had our first ultrasound done today. What a little miracle baby M is! I couldn't stop smiling while watching the baby move. When trying to get a good picture of babies face he/she would lift up it's arm and place it's hand over it's face, I guess baby M is camera shy :)

March 5th is our due date, and after a very long 13 weeks we finally got the chance to listen to the heart beat, a very healthy 164 bpm. We are very excited.

This year I was excited to start my own little garden at my new little house. Keith helped me plant a wild flower garden, full of whats supposed to be a bunch of gorgeous bright colored flowers. I'm not crazy about the roll out seeded mats, they blow away in the wind and I can' tell if anything is growing on them. I'd rather plant flowers that are full grown already, I just don't have the patients to wait for the seeds to bloom. Well we will see what happens I'm sure it'll look beautiful in the end... If I can wait that long.
This has become my new favorite past time... watching the birds play in the new bird bath. I just had to take a picture of this bright yellow finch, God's creatures are truly fascinating!

1 year Anniversary

I can't believe today marks our 1 year anniversary. The days have flowen by and life gets so hectic, today I want to pause and take a moment to reflect... It's not the flowers, the cards, the gifts, the dinner, that makes me remember why I fell in love with you in the first place. It's the small moments when you hold my hand and whisper "I love you" in my ear. I can't wait to see what the following years are going to bring.

Just a quick update on our Whistle Stop goal. Since Keith and I surpassed our 5k goal as of yesterday, which is just a little over 3 miles. We've now set out to participate in the 10k event! We are half way there and it's still only May, 5 more months to go!

A day of reflection...

Friday marked the last day of my elementary student placement. The past 5 weeks have flown by so quickly and I've enjoyed every minute. I was fortunate enough to be able to pop into a few different rooms along the way, due to MCA testing. I got to spend 2 days in a Chinese immersion room with a great group of 1st graders (not being able to comprehend a word!) and 2 days in a kindergarten setting. I've learned so much and can't wait to bring all these experiences into my own classroom.

On a more serious note, Friday was not a good day to end my 5 weeks student teaching. For those of you who know on wed. there was a shooting in St.Cloud on the North side of town. A 46 year old male was shot and killed. Going to my last day of student teaching I was informed that the man that was shot and killed was the father to one of my students. To make it all worse he was the one to find his dad shot in their front yard. There are no words that can make the pain go away but my thoughts and prayers are with this student and his family.

Whistle Stop

So those of you who know me best know I'm not much of a runner. I tend to only run when someone or somthing is chasing me. This year a few of my family members will be running in the Whistle Stop Marathon - Half Marathon thats being held in Ashland Wisconsin. They also host a 5k or 10k event. A couple weeks ago I thought about participating in the 5k event, today I began my training. Keith ran a total of 4 miles and I ran 1.5; not a bad start considering it was the first run of the year for both of us. Who knows maybe if I stay dedicated I will try the 10k event! I have 5 months to train, you sure would hope I could get there. So, I'll keep you all posted on my progress I'll need all the motivation I can get!

Just a little update:

I am now 24 woo hoo! That's almost 25, which is half way too 50! Oh no, am I getting old? I finally finished my 5 weeks of field placement at Apollo last Friday. It went really well,a lot easier then I thought it was going to be. I sure do miss those kids though, they sure do grow on you... I am now at Madison Elementary in a fourth grade class. Looking forward to the next five weeks, I'm already jumping in full force. Keith decided to return to school, classes start April 6Th. It sure is a blessing the Internet, Keith is able to maintain a full time Job, coach girls soccer and take classes online. Keith and I also decided to coach a team for the CYMSA summer soccer league together that should be exciting. Speaking of coaching I applied for a coaching position for the Sartell Dance Team last week... Hopefully I get the Job, I miss dancing! Other than that I guess we are just looking forward to summer. Camping, Canoe Trips,every other Sunday sand volleyball at our house, and hopefully if I can get a Co-Ed team together softball as well. Oh and don't let me forget about biking. Keith and I both bought new bikes, we will be biking EVERYWHERE this summer.

Ufta, what a week it has been already. Tuesday marked the beginning of my Student Teaching session 1. I was placed at St. Cloud Apollo High School in a Biology class (Thank the lord it wasn't a math class!). I will be there for 5 wonderful weeks. The students already have taught me alot, one of which you will see in the picture above. Apollo High School student D’Shawn Williams portrayed Martin Luther King Jr. in the students’ performance of “I Am Hope” for the school Tuesday (st.cloudtimes.com). I have only known D'Shawn now for 2 whole days, but what inspiration he brings into my life already... I can't wait to see what happens in the coming years. We as teachers continue to learn everyday, our inspiration comes from our students. Here is too an awsome beginning!

1. My middle name is Ann. As Insignificant as it may seem my middle name means a lot to me... You see Both my Grandparents, and one of my Great Grandmas middle names were Ann as well. I hope one day I will be able to pass on the name to my little girl.

10. My favorite season is fall. I think it has something to do with all the beautiful colors god graces us with every season. Plus the crisp cool air makes it a perfect time to make smores around the camp fire.
11. I love all animals, Horses especially. Unfortunately I've never had a horse of my own. (Keith promises me someday!) Until that day comes I want to thank Jeff and Sarah and Kurt and Vicki for giving me the chance to ride in the wind :)
12.I've always felt like I had been born in the wrong era.
13.I love to dance! I've been dancing since I was 2 yrs old and continue to dance everyday I get the chance. Dancing sets your spirit free!
14. I am in a 20-somethings women Bible study Group. These Ladies are the most wonderful group of girls ever.
15. I am thankful I have been able to travel all over the U.S. except Hawaii and Alaska. Thank you Mom and Dad for the opportunity to see the world (within the U.S. boarder) I do TRUELY appreciate ever trip I have taken.
16. I often think about those I've lost. Almost ever night I say a prayer to help me remember the way my grandpa smelt, and the way my Grandma used to sing. Although I've never met my brother I visit his grave every year on his birthday.
17. I am the outdoors-ey type. Hiking, biking, fishing, camping, cross country skiing, sledding. Anything to get me outdoors!

A Productive Night!

So we had a very productive night, Keith and I. It was a Night of WELL OVER DUE LAUNDRY!
When putting away our socks I've noticed how dirty they look even after washing/bleaching them! eeekkk!!! I hate dirty socks. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep your socks white? PLEASE HELP!

I'm currently in a Bible study group, we call ourselves the "20 somethings women Bible study" meaning every one in this group is between the ages of 20-29. We recently completed a servant project at Place Of Hope in St. Cloud serving Dinner to the homeless. What an eye opening experience. I want to thank Pastor Geary and his wife Carol for giving us the opportunity to help out. Everyone was so gracious and kind, I can only pray that god can provide more shelters such as this to help those who are in need. (Nov 25th)

A Nervous Wreck!!!

So...
I'm a nervous wreck. Keith just called, they (meaning Keith, his brother Kurt, and Dad Brad) are hunting up on their farm land in Osakis. Before Keith left I already had a bad feeling something bad was going to happen this year. I kept telling Keith be safe, be safe, be safe as much as a nagging wife could. Well to confirm my feelings Keith just called to let me know he almost died! WHAT! He went on to explain a 13 year old boy who's deer stand was somewhere behind his decided to shoot at a deer in his direction. Well, the bullet was about 8 inches away from Keith's head. Keith said he heard the bullet zing past his head. The branch that fell in front of Keith's face was shot off. Dear Lord please protect all those hunters out there!

So I recently received an e-mail from Amber, she's one of the many wonderful Gals apart of the 20-somethings women's Bible study I am in. She sent a Bible puzzle, it's almost like a word find. So... it's about that time of year many of us dread. Halloween costumes are way over priced and can only be worn once. bummer! So I have been thinking hard for the last couple months... What would be something cute, reasonably priced, and versatile? These "adult" costume parties are always a ton of fun but so much work, ufta.

So with my brain ticking away I thought:

A HOUSE WIFE!

perfect considering I'm a newly wed. So I searched around for an apron and came up with this. I would definitely be able to wear this again. I'd wear it making my hubby a perfect apple pie, angel food cake, brownies, well you get the idea. OK I would attempt to make these things :o)

You'll just have to wait to see what crazy idea Keith came up with.

One Long weekend

Our friends, whom have now lived in Detroit Lakes for 2 years Invited us up for the Wefest Festivities.

So since they live on a lake... Naturally, we went out and bought our puppies life Jackets. You can never be to safe! :o)

I caught my first Northern EVER! I even unhooked it myself.

I soon realised Wefest was not my thing. The music was great, however the crowd and their behavior not so much!

While the boys went back to Wefest on Friday Megs and I ditched out. It would be no fun in the rain. Instead we went shopping in Perham. There are so many cute small town shops. Below is a coffee shop Megs and I enjoyed resting our feet.

Grandma Dearest:
Dear Lord I lift my prayers to you... There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of my grandma. I pray to you lord that you give her strength to overcome this stroke. With each visit I see her progress and I am so thankful that you fill her heart with love and empowerment. Please be beside her every moment of everday. We are all hoping to take her out for her birthday August 19th and need her to be healthy and strong.
